Prior to the release of entrance examination details to the public, some of the important information will be given as follows.

1) Examination schedule

<Summer examination>

• 2023 Doctoral Program (October enrollment) August 28, 2023

<Winter examination>

• 2024 Doctoral Program (April enrollment) February 6, 2024

2) Distribution of Application Guidelines and release of information on the Internet

<Summer examination>

Distribution of Application Guidelines for the following entrance examination and release of the relevant information on the website are scheduled to start on May 19, 2023, or after.

• 2023 Doctoral Program (October enrollment)

Application Guidelines are partially posted on the website, while an original certified copy is required to be obtained for actual application.

It is available at the Academic Affairs Section of Sciences, or you can request one by mail alternately. Details of the mailing request will be notified later.

For applicants living outside Japan, please ask someone living in Japan or consult your prospective thesis advisor at the University to obtain the copy.

<Winter examination>

Distribution of Application Guidelines for the following entrance examination is scheduled to start on October 2, 2023, or after.

• 2024 Doctoral Program (April enrollment)

Application Guidelines are partially posted on the website, while an original certified copy is required to be obtained for actual application.

It is available at the Academic Affairs Section of Sciences, or you can request one by mail alternately. Details of the mailing request will be notified at a later date.

For applicants living outside Japan, either ask someone living in Japan or consult your prospective thesis advisor at the University to obtain the copy.

3) Cases where application eligibility needs to be examined beforehand

Please note that some categories of students (e.g. adult working students, early admission students) are required to have a prior consultation or undergo an eligibility screening before applying for the entrance examination.

Applicants are advised to promptly obtain the original copy of graduation diploma (or certificate of expected graduation) and academic transcript from the last school attended, as they are necessary for the eligibility screening. Details of the eligibility screening procedures will be posted on the website at a later date.
